A devastating attack by armed bandits occurred in Kaduna State’s Chikun Local Government Area on Tuesday night, resulting in the deaths of four residents of Tsohuwan Gayan village.
Two others were injured and rushed to a hospital in Kaduna town.
Eyewitnesses described the assailants as heavily armed, employing a coordinated and military-style assault on the community. The victims’ bodies were found drenched in blood, having suffered multiple gunshot wounds.
Remarkably, two survivors were initially presumed dead but were later discovered alive after the attackers fled.
The community is now gripped by fear, as the bandits accused them of spying for security forces, raising concerns about potential future attacks.
This incident follows another attack on Zakada village in Kauru local government area last Friday, where seven locals were killed, and several others kidnapped by armed bandits wielding sophisticated weapons.
