Nigeria’s Flying Eagles have been placed in Group B alongside Egypt, South Africa, and Morocco for the 2025 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations.
The draw ceremony was conducted on Thursday at the headquarters of the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
The Flying Eagles, who were the top seed in the group, will face Egypt in a friendly match later this month as part of their preparations.
Aliyu Zubairu’s side secured a third-place finish in the last edition of the U-20 AFCON.

In Group A, tournament hosts Cote d’Ivoire will compete against the Democratic Republic of Congo, Ghana, and Tanzania. Meanwhile, defending champions Senegal have been drawn in Group C alongside Zambia, Kenya, and Sierra Leone.
The top two teams from each group will advance to the quarter-finals, along with the two best third-placed teams. Cote d’Ivoire will host the tournament from April 26 to May 18, 2025.
The top four nations at the competition will secure qualification for the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup, set to be held in Chile later in the year.
