The Police Service Commission (PSC) has approved the appointment of Olohundare Moshood Jimoh as the new Commissioner of Police for the Lagos State Command. His appointment was confirmed on Monday, February 17, 2025.

Before this role, CP Jimoh served as the Commissioner of Police for the Ports Authority, Eastern Ports. He has also held several key positions, including Force Public Relations Officer, Deputy Commissioner of Police at Airport Police, Deputy Commissioner of Finance and Administration, and Deputy Commissioner for General Investigation.
CP Jimoh who hails from Kwara State is a highly trained officer with extensive professional experience. His specialized training includes a Combat Operations Course at the Mobile Training College in Maiduguri and participation in the African Union Mission in Darfur, Sudan.
He has also undergone international training in the United States on Weapons of Mass Destruction Countermeasures, as well as in China, where he attended the Executive Leadership Academy in Pudong, Maritime Rescue and Salvage training in Ningbo, and Anti-Hijacking Techniques and Tactics training at Yunnan Police College in Kunming. Additionally, he trained at the Police Training Institute in Seoul, South Korea.

A distinguished public relations professional, CP Jimoh was honored with the Presidential Award for Public Relations Personality of the Year by the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations in recognition of his contributions to law enforcement communication.
His confirmation took place today before the PSC panel, which included Chairman DIG Hashimu Argungu (Rtd.), Justice Adamu Paul Galmuje (Rtd.), a former Supreme Court Justice and Commissioner representing the Judiciary, and DIG Taiwo Lakanu, fdc, the Commissioner representing the Police.
