In a decisive operation, Nigerian Army troops, in collaboration with a hybrid force, successfully neutralized nine insurgents belonging to the Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) and Jama’atu Ahlis Sunna Lidda’awati Wal-Jihad (JAS) in Borno State.

The raid, which took place on February 17, 2025, at approximately 6 a.m. in Iza, Bama Local Government Area, resulted in a fierce firefight that lasted several hours.
