Kenya’s men’s basketball team, the Morans, has conceded a walkover to Tunisia in their opening match of the Afrobasket qualifiers in Libya due to travel difficulties.

The Kenya Basketball Federation (KBF) cited logistical challenges, including the lack of available connecting flights to Tripoli, as the reason behind the team’s failure to arrive on time for the crucial fixture.
“The Kenya Basketball Federation (KBF) regrets to report that due to unforeseen logistical challenges, which included the lack of connecting flights into Tripoli, the Kenya Morans are unable to arrive in time for their opening match,” the federation stated.

Despite the setback, Kenya will aim to regroup and compete in their remaining qualification matches as they seek a spot in the continental tournament.
