A devastating attack by Boko Haram terrorists has left several schools and houses in ruins in communities across Adamawa State.

The insurgents launched an overnight assault on Kwapre and surrounding villages in the New Yadul District of Hong LGA, starting at around 7:30 pm on Tuesday, February 25, and lasting until past midnight.

According to eyewitnesses, the terrorists set fire to schools, worship centers, shops, and other businesses, destroying property worth millions and looting valuables.

Fortunately, no lives were lost in the attack. The village head of Kwapre, Joel Kulaha, lamented, “We escaped with our lives, but everything we own is gone.”

Military forces in the area responded to the attack, engaging the insurgents in a fierce gun battle.

The attack is the latest in a series of violent incidents in the region, highlighting the ongoing security challenges faced by Adamawa State.
