The Federal Capital Territory Police Command has confirmed that former Comptroller General of the Nigerian Immigration Service, David Parradang, was found dead in a hotel room in Abuja.
Parradang’s body was discovered hours after he checked into Joy House Hotel with a female guest.
According to the police, Parradang arrived at the hotel around 12noon on March 3, 2025, driving a black Mercedes Benz.
He paid N22,000 for a one-night stay and later directed the hotel attendant to escort a female guest to his room. The woman left the hotel around 4pm, but Parradang did not exit his room again.
A friend of Parradang’s, a military officer, became concerned for his wellbeing and traced him to the hotel. Upon arrival, the officer and hotel receptionist found Parradang’s lifeless body seated in a chair around 4am on March 4, 2025.
The police have dismissed speculation that Parradang was kidnapped and murdered, urging the public to avoid spreading unverified information.
The FCT Police Command is conducting a thorough investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding Parradang’s death.
