The Federal Government has officially declared Friday, April 18, and Monday, April 21, 2025, as public holidays in celebration of Good Friday and Easter Monday.
This announcement was made on Tuesday by the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, who extended warm Easter greetings to Christians across the country.

Dr. Tunji-Ojo urged Nigerians to reflect on the significance of the season, highlighting the sacrifice and love shown by Jesus Christ through His death for the redemption of humanity.
In a statement released by the Ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Dr. Magdalene Ajani, the minister encouraged citizens to take advantage of the holiday period to pray for Nigeria’s peace, unity, and continued stability.
