A Magistrate Court in Apapa has freed 17-year-old Alabi Quadri, who gained viral attention for standing in front of Peter Obi’s convoy ahead of the 2023 general elections.

Magistrate Adetola Olorunfemi granted Quadri’s freedom following the Director of Public Prosecutions’ (DPP) legal advice. Quadri had been in detention since January, sparking widespread debate and concern.
