Super Falcons star Rasheedat Ajibade is set to leave Atlético Madrid Femení at the end of the current season, with reports indicating she will not renew her contract with the Spanish club.
The 25-year-old Nigerian forward has been a key figure for the Rojiblancas over the past four years, scoring 40 goals in 136 appearances. This season, she has maintained her strong form, netting six goals and providing three assists in 19 league games, helping Atlético to third place in the Liga F table after 27 matches.
According to Soccerdonna, the club is already making plans to sign a replacement ahead of Ajibade’s anticipated exit during the summer transfer window.

The Nigerian international has been linked with a potential move to the United States’ National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL), where fellow Super Falcons forward Asisat Oshoala recently joined Bay FC after leaving Barcelona. While no specific club has been named, speculation suggests Ajibade could reunite with Oshoala in the competitive American league, which continues to attract top global talent.
Ajibade, who has earned 29 caps and scored five goals for Nigeria, is expected to play a key role for the Super Falcons at the upcoming Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), where she will be one of the team’s main attacking threats.
