Suspended Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has returned to the state after a two-week overseas vacation.
He arrived at Port Harcourt International Airport, Omagwa, at around 7 PM on Friday, where he was greeted by aides before being quickly driven away in a waiting SUV.
In March, President Bola Tinubu suspended Fubara, his deputy, Prof. Ngozi Odu, and the State House of Assembly members, following the declaration of a state of emergency in the state amid escalating violence and pipeline attacks.

The suspension was linked to conflicts between the governor and 27 lawmakers, with involvement from Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike. The State is now governed by Vice-Admiral Ibok Ete Ibas.
