Morocco has secured a spot in the final of the 2025 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations, where they will face South Africa.

The Young Atlas Lions defeated Egypt 1-0, thanks to substitute Jones El Abdellaoui’s decisive goal in the 77th minute, finishing a precise cross from Ismaël Aouad.

Earlier, South Africa earned their place in the final after a tight 1-0 victory over Nigeria in the first semi-final on Thursday. Tylon Smith scored the winning goal with a well-placed header in the 66th minute, ending Nigeria’s hopes of claiming an eighth U-20 AFCON title.
Nigeria will now meet tournament hosts Egypt in the third-place playoff for the bronze medal.
