Belarus and Kenya have agreed to intensify their comprehensive dialogue across multiple areas, including inter-parliamentary contacts, trade, economy, and humanitarian fields.

Chairman of the Standing Commission on International Affairs and National Security of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus, Sergei Aleinik, and Kenyan Ambassador to Belarus, Peter Mutuku Mathuki, discussed the matter on June 17.

Aleinik emphasized Belarus’s readiness to develop mutually beneficial contacts with the Senate of the Republic of Kenya.

The two nations have a history of diplomatic relations, established on November 17, 1993, with recent high-level meetings between President Aleksandr Lukashenko and Kenyan Presidents Uhuru Kenyatta and William Ruto.

This year’s participation of a Kenyan delegation in the Belagro 2025 exhibition in Minsk demonstrates Kenya’s interest in expanding cooperation with Belarus.
