Victor Osimhen’s spectacular overhead kick for Galatasaray has been crowned the 2024/25 Turkish Super Lig Goal of the Season, following a fan vote conducted on the league’s official X (formerly Twitter) account.
The Nigerian striker’s acrobatic strike in Galatasaray’s 3-0 victory over Antalyaspor on October 19, 2024, earned a commanding 65.8% of the total votes, beating out a powerful free-kick from his teammate Kaan Ayhan, who garnered 34.2%.

“The most beautiful goal of the 2024 – 2025 Season in the Trendyol Super League was determined by your votes. Victor Osimhen!” the Super Lig announced on Tuesday.
Osimhen’s goal, scored just 13 minutes after he was subbed on for Yunus Akgun in the 78th minute, was the final strike of the game and capped off an emphatic win. It also marked his third goal of the campaign following his late loan move from Napoli, where he had been frozen out of the squad.
The 26-year-old forward went on to enjoy a prolific season, finishing with 37 goals in all competitions—including 26 in the league—quickly becoming a fan favourite in Istanbul.

Osimhen’s form has now reignited speculation around his future. Despite a massive offer from Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal—which he reportedly turned down—the striker is believed to favour a move to the English Premier League. Manchester United are among the top contenders for his signature.
As his loan spell in Turkey concludes, Napoli are expected to ramp up negotiations with interested clubs for a permanent transfer, making Osimhen one of the most sought-after players of the summer window.
