Three people have died and dozens were injured after falling from the upper stand of a stadium in Algeria during a football match where local team MC Alger won the league title.
The incident occurred at the 5 July Stadium in Algiers just after the final whistle, when a security barrier collapsed and fans surged forward, falling onto the lower tier.
The health ministry reported that over 70 people were treated in three hospitals, with most having been released.
Players and staff from MC Alger visited the hospitals to donate blood to the injured.
Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune offered condolences and wished a speedy recovery to those injured.
The presentation of the league trophy was postponed following the tragedy.
