Nigerian midfielder Onuche Ogbelu played the full 90 minutes as Chelsea secured a dominant 3–0 win over Esperance in their final Group D match at the FIFA Club World Cup on Wednesday in Philadelphia.

Ogbelu, making his third appearance in the tournament, impressed with a solid performance in midfield as the Blues booked their place in the last 16.

Chelsea broke the deadlock in first-half stoppage time, with goals from Tosin Adarabioyo and Liam Delap putting them 2–0 up at the break.

The second half saw a more assured Chelsea side, and Tyrique George sealed the victory with a late third goal just seconds before full-time.
With the result, Chelsea finished second in Group D and will now face Portuguese giants Benfica in the round of 16 on Saturday in Charlotte.

In the other Group D clash, Flamengo and Los Angeles FC settled for a 1–1 draw.
