Somali forces, backed by international allies, have eliminated more than 37 al-Shabaab terrorists in a coordinated operation in the village of Maqooqaha, located west of Buulo Xaaji in the southern region of Lower Jubba, targeting senior al-Shabaab operatives.
The Somali army has reaffirmed its commitment to dismantling the terrorist network, emphasizing that the fight against al-Shabaab continues on all fronts, reflecting the ongoing efforts to defend the country, protect civilians, and secure lasting stability in the region.
This operation is part of a broader government campaign aimed at weakening al-Shabaab’s operational capabilities, particularly in regions where the group has maintained a presence.
