Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan has embarked on a one-day working visit to Comoros, marking a significant moment in the two nations’ historical bond since Comoros gained independence in 1975.
President Samia was invited by Comorian President Azali Assoumani to attend the 50th independence anniversary celebrations at the Malouzini Omnisport Stadium in Moroni, where she is scheduled to deliver a speech.
This visit underscores Tanzania’s commitment to strengthening its fraternal, historical, and diplomatic ties with Comoros, as well as supporting the island nation’s development efforts and national unity.
The two countries have enjoyed cooperation in economic and social fields, with Tanzania playing a vital role as a development partner.
