The crane, reportedly owned by Monterosa Construction Limited, fell directly onto the SUV. The company has been carrying out ongoing construction work in the area for some time.

According to eyewitnesses, including a commuter who was in a bus directly behind the Prado, the accident caused panic, but no casualties were recorded. The sole occupant of the vehicle, a man, was said to have suffered shock from the incident and was quickly rushed to the hospital. He did not sustain any physical injuries.

Authorities are expected to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crane collapse.
