The Ogun State Government has announced the burial rites for the late Awujale of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona, who passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2025, at the age of 91.
The burial will take place today, July 14, 2025, at Ogbagba Court, Igbeba, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, at exactly 4 pm.
The revered monarch’s passing has sent shockwaves throughout the state, with many paying tribute to his legacy as a symbol of cultural pride, political wisdom, and royal integrity.
Oba Adetona’s reign, which spanned over six decades, was marked by significant developments in Ijebuland, including infrastructural growth, business expansion, and social harmony.
