The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has reportedly raided a Lagos hotel, intercepting drug-laced cereal consignments bound for Pakistan and Italy, and arresting dozens of suspects in multiple sting operations across at least ten states.
In a joint operation with aviation security officials, NDLEA agents seized 7,790 pills of tramadol and rohypnol from an outbound passenger on Turkish Airlines headed to Italy via Istanbul, while another suspect was arrested with 17 parcels of skunk concealed in packs of cereal headed for Pakistan.
The agency also busted a major drug den masquerading as a hospitality facility in the Ogudu area of Lagos, seizing 1.3kg of chocolate cannabis, 900g of cannabis-laced gummies, and 22.9g of skunk.
The NDLEA’s crackdown has yielded significant results, with numerous arrests and seizures of illicit substances across multiple states, including Kaduna, Kano, Gombe, Borno, Bayelsa, Kogi, Abia, Enugu, and Taraba.
