Irish Minister of State for International Development and Diaspora Neale Richmond has arrived in Zimbabwe, where he is expected to meet with political leaders and members of the Irish community.
During his visit, Richmond will focus on strengthening trade and development relations between Ireland and Zimbabwe, particularly in the areas of health and education.
He will participate in meetings with development partners, including SERVE and the Global Fund, and visit projects such as an HIV treatment clinic and maternal and neonatal ward at Chegutu District Hospital.
Richmond’s visit follows his attendance at the Ministerial Meeting of the G20 Development Working Group in South Africa, where he emphasized Ireland’s commitment to building strong development partnerships in Africa.
