The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has successfully eliminated no fewer than 95 terrorists in major airstrikes around Ragada and Warari villages in Rijau Local Government Area of Niger State.
According to a credible intelligence source, the terrorists were intercepted by NAF fighter jets on their way from Zamfara State through Kebbi State to Niger State, and were neutralized in the airstrikes, with only 13 motorcycles escaping.
The residents of the affected villages have expressed their happiness and appreciation to the federal government for its commitment to fighting banditry and other criminal elements in the northwest region.
The airstrikes were carried out on Tuesday at about 1500 hours, and the information has been confirmed by intelligence sources in the area.
