ICC Convicts Militia Leaders of Persecuting Muslims in Central African Republic

The International Criminal Court (ICC) has convicted two men, Patrice-Edouard Ngaissona and Alfred Yekatom, of leading Christian-dominated militias in attacks on Muslims in the Central African Republic in 2013 and 2014.

Ngaissona, a former football executive, was sentenced to 12 years in prison, while Yekatom, a militia commander nicknamed “Rambo,” received a 15-year prison sentence.
