Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia, has dissolved the State Executive Council and appointed Moses Atagher, a former Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, as the new Chief of Staff.
In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Tersoo Kula, the governor described Atagher as a seasoned administrator with a wealth of experience, including a stint as acting Managing Director of the Federal Mortgage Bank.

Governor Alia expressed gratitude to the outgoing commissioners for their service over the past two years. He encouraged those who may not return in the next cabinet to remain committed to the party and continue supporting the administration, noting that the dissolution was intended to allow other citizens the opportunity to contribute to the state’s development.
Speaking on behalf of the former commissioners, Bemsen Mnyim thanked the governor for the opportunity to serve and pledged their continued support to the administration.
