President Bola Tinubu hosted Anambra State Governor Charles Soludo at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, for a closed-door meeting.
Although details of the meeting remain sketchy, sources suggest it may be connected to the forthcoming governorship election in Anambra State, where Soludo is seeking a second term.
Notably, Soludo wore a cap bearing Tinubu’s infinity logo, seen as a mark of endorsement for the President, who may seek another term in office.
The Anambra Governorship election is scheduled for November 8, 2025.
This meeting comes after Tinubu’s recent state visit to Anambra, where he inaugurated several projects and praised Soludo’s leadership, describing him as a “brilliant man” who knows the way forward for the state.
