Sadiq Osude, a philanthropist and entrepreneur from Keana Local Government Area, has thrown his hat into the ring, declaring his intention to run for governor in Nasarawa State’s 2027 election.
As the founder of the SOS Foundation, Osude boasts an impressive track record of humanitarian and development work, having reached over 60,000 beneficiaries across the state’s 13 local government areas since 2015.
Under his campaign slogan, “Service Today, Progress Tomorrow,” Osude aims to scale up development projects across the state, focusing on building schools, establishing healthcare centers, enhancing security, and expanding economic opportunities. His administration would prioritize integrity, inclusive governance, and sustainable development.
Osude’s foundation has provided 60 boreholes for clean water and vocational training for 6,000 people, showcasing his commitment to creating tangible change.
This development adds to the growing list of aspirants vying for the governorship seat, including General Nuhu Angbazo, a retired military officer, and David Emmanuel Ombugadu, former governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Governor Abdullahi Sule has stated that he will name his preferred successor ahead of the 2027 elections, promising a free, fair, and transparent primary election.
