The All Progressives CongressA (APC) in Delta State has indefinitely suspended three members from Ward 1, Umutu, over alleged breaches of party protocol and unauthorized political activities.
According to the party leadership, the affected members participated in a meeting in Asaba where certain political endorsements were made without due consultation, acting outside the party’s constitutional procedures.
The suspension follows an earlier decision to suspend a local government party official in Obiaruku.
Party leaders, including former delegate Onotu Henry Okechukwu and former member of the Delta State House of Assembly, Squadron Leader Paul Okpue, emphasized the importance of upholding the party’s constitution and internal order.
Okechukwu stated that no member should act outside established norms and leadership structure, while Okpue stressed that internal discipline and adherence to the party’s constitution are crucial for strengthening party unity and credibility.
The APC reiterated its commitment to unity, transparency, and internal democracy as it prepares for upcoming political activities in the state.
