The First Lady of Anambra State, Dr. Nonye Soludo, has been named First Lady of the Year (Healthcare and Child Support) at the 2025 Nigerian Humanitarian Awards and Magazine.

The award ceremony, held on Friday night in Abuja, followed a nationwide nomination and public voting process that attracted thousands of responses from citizens and humanitarian observers.

Organised by the Humanitarian Achievement and Outreach Foundation, the award recognised Dr. Soludo’s outstanding leadership and humanitarian impact through her “Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo” initiative — a campaign that promotes community health awareness, maternal and child care, nutritional education, and support for underprivileged families across Anambra State.

Receiving the award, Dr. Soludo expressed gratitude to the organisers and Nigerians who supported her vision:

“What began over 19 years ago as a simple passion has now transformed into a massive crusade. I am grateful for the grace of consistency and support. Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo has come to stay. This recognition is special, and it sets the tone for even greater expectations ahead.”

She dedicated the award to her Healthy Living Family and the children of Anambra State, noting that they remain the driving force of her mission.

“To everyone who joins our Saturday morning workouts, and to the beautiful children of Anambra whose lives and futures have been touched by what we do, this award is for you. You are the pride of our work,” she added.

Dr. Soludo reaffirmed her commitment to expanding health and child-focused initiatives in the state while describing the recognition as an encouragement to do more.
