The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has appointed Mr. Andy Odeh as Chief Corporate Communications Officer and Mrs. Morenike Adewunmi as Chief Relations Officer, effective immediately.
This strategic move demonstrates NNPC’s commitment to enhancing stakeholder engagement and public communication across its operations.
Odeh brings over 30 years of experience in communications and business administration, having spent 26 years at Nigeria LNG Limited, where he successfully managed the company’s rebranding and implemented a micro-credit scheme for host communities.
Adewunmi, a legal practitioner with 25 years of experience in the oil and gas sector, joins NNPC from Shell Companies in Nigeria, where she served as Regulatory Affairs Manager and Government Relations Manager.
Their appointments come two months after Olufemi Soneye’s resignation as Chief Corporate Communications Officer on June 21, 2025.
The duo’s expertise is expected to strengthen NNPC’s communication and stakeholder engagement, ultimately improving public trust and effective engagement with host communities, regulators, and international partners.
