The Nigerian government has arraigned nine suspects linked to the June 13 attack in Yelewata, Benue State, on charges of terrorism, including attacks, killings, and illegal possession of firearms.
One defendant, Timnan Manjo, pleaded guilty to two counts of buying and selling locally fabricated AK-47 rifles without a license, while the other eight defendants pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The suspects have been in custody since their arrest at various locations.
The attack on Yelewata and Daudu communities in Guma Local Government Area of Benue State resulted in the deaths of over 300 people, with many more injured.
