The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Kebbi State has successfully conducted its ward congresses across all 21 local government areas, electing new executives and delegates.
The exercise was peaceful, with a high turnout of members, according to Bello Goronyo, PDP Chairman in Sokoto State and leader of the Ward Congress Election Committee.
Goronyo expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the exercise, stating that the party remains a formidable opposition force in Nigeria despite challenges. “Sincerely speaking, I am happy with what I saw.
The turnout was encouraging, and it is a testament that the PDP is still accepted by the people,” he said.
The national delegation commended security agencies and INEC officials for ensuring a hitch-free exercise, particularly in areas prone to insecurity.
Sani Dododo, Chairman of the PDP Ward Congress in Kebbi State, affirmed the unity and strength of the party, saying, “Kebbi PDP is one.
The turnout was a clear demonstration of the determination of our members and a sign that the party remains strong in the state.” Over 500 people turned out for the congress in Sauwa Ward, Argungu Local Government Area.
