The ministry stated that the disengaged workers will be absorbed by other subsidiaries in the Dangote Group without loss of pay.

PENGASSAN had instructed its members to embark on a nationwide strike over the dismissal of workers by Dangote Refinery, but has now agreed to start the process of calling off the strike.

The agreement was reached after Aliko Dangote, founder of Dangote Group, and PENGASSAN representatives met with government officials, including Wale Edun and Mohammed Dingyadi, to resolve the labour dispute.
