The Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission (PCACC) has launched an investigation into the alleged diversion of over ₦4 billion in state funds by the administration of former Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje into the Dala Inland Dry Port (DIDP) project.

According to sources, the funds were released in 2020 under the guise of infrastructural development, despite the state allegedly transferring its 20% equity share to Ganduje’s family members, who became directors and shareholders.

PCACC Chairman Saidu Yahya confirmed the investigation, stating that it was triggered by public petitions alleging large-scale financial misappropriation.

Yahya said the investigation is at an advanced stage, with several persons of interest invited for questioning and one individual arrested and released on bail. A prima facie case has been established, and the matter will soon be charged to court.

In response, the management of Dala Inland Dry Port issued a statement denying any ownership links to the Ganduje family or the Kano State Government.

They claimed that verified records from the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) confirm neither Dr. Ganduje nor his family members have any ownership or official involvement in DIDP.
