The Super Eagles of Nigeria will face the Pharaohs of Egypt in an international friendly match as part of their build-up to the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco.
The encounter is scheduled for Sunday, December 14, 2025, at the Cairo International Stadium.

Egypt’s head coach, Hossam Hassan, confirmed the fixture, saying he wanted to test his squad against one of Africa’s strongest teams ahead of the continental showpiece. In addition to the friendly against Nigeria, the Pharaohs are also set to participate in the UAE International Tournament as part of their AFCON preparations.
For Nigeria, the match comes amid a busy schedule that includes the African playoffs for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, also to be held in Morocco.
The Super Eagles are expected to use the friendly as an opportunity to fine-tune their tactics and strengthen team chemistry ahead of their quest for continental glory at AFCON 2025.
