The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has suspended its National Secretary, Senator Samuel Anyanwu; National Legal Adviser, Kamaldeen Ajibade (SAN); Deputy Legal Adviser, Okechukwu Osuoha; and National Organising Secretary, Umaru Bature, for one month.

The suspension follows a court ruling that halted the party’s planned national convention.

The PDP National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, disclosed the decision after an emergency National Working Committee meeting, stating that the suspended officials would face the PDP Disciplinary Committee.

Despite the court order, the PDP has vowed to proceed with its internal processes and activities ahead of the convention, citing a recent Supreme Court ruling affirming the supremacy of political parties in managing their internal affairs.
