President Bola Tinubu has sworn in two newly appointed ministers, Bernard Doro and Kingsley Ude, in a brief ceremony at the State House in Abuja.
The swearing-in took place moments before Tinubu presided over the weekly Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting.
Doro, a pharmacist and lawyer from Plateau State, replaces Nentawe Yilwatda, while Ude, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) from Enugu State, fills the vacancy left by Uche Nnaji, who resigned amidst certificate forgery allegations.
Ude’s appointment was confirmed by the Senate earlier on Thursday, following a brief screening.
The FEC meeting, which followed the ceremony, featured a presentation by the Minister of Finance, Wale Edun, on the state of the economy, and was attended by top government officials, including the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, and the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila.
