Alhaji Abubakar Sabi Sise, a trader and former ward chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Boriya-Shiya Ward, Baruten Local Government Area of Kwara State, has been kidnapped by gunmen.

The attack occurred at around 12am on Thursday at his residence in Boriya community, where the kidnappers fired several gunshots to frighten residents.

According to eyewitnesses, one of Sise’s sons was ordered to call his father and open the door, after which the gunmen took him away, leaving other family members unharmed.

The local vigilante team has begun searching for the attackers and the victim.

This is the second kidnapping incident in the area within two months, with a similar case occurring on September 17. The whereabouts of Alhaji Sabi Sise remain unknown.
