The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has affirmed Kabiru Turaki, former minister of special duties and intergovernmental affairs, as its national chairman.
Turaki, the sole candidate for the position, secured 1,516 votes at the party’s national convention in Ibadan, Oyo State.
The event was attended by several governors, including Bala Mohammed, Caleb Mutfwang, Ahmadu Fintiri, and Dauda Lawal, as well as former Senate President Bukola Saraki and other prominent party members.
The PDP has zoned its presidential ticket to the south and national chairmanship to the north, in line with party tradition.
