The kidnappers had demanded a N600m ransom for their release, but the Diocese of Kaduna, Anglican Communion, has confirmed Achi’s death.

The Diocese described Achi’s death as a painful loss to the entire Diocese, the clergy, the Church family, and all who were blessed by his faithful ministry, and is praying for the release of his wife and daughter, who are still in the hands of the kidnappers.
