A commercial vehicle was attacked along the Idofin road in Kogi State’s Yagba East Local Government Area, just hours after two motorists were abducted on the same route.
The driver narrowly escaped, but the incident has heightened concerns about insecurity in the region.
The attack comes amid a wave of violence, including an assault on Ejiba community, where armed bandits abducted multiple worshippers during a church service. The church pastor, Orlando, his wife, and several others were taken.
Residents are calling on the Kogi State government and security agencies to take urgent action to protect travelers and restore safety along the troubled route.
