The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has dismantled a social media network distributing illicit substances packaged as imported Christmas cookies and snacks in Lagos.
Two suspects, Deji Adesanya and Olubiyi Majekodunmi, were arrested and found with Canadian Loud, a strong strain of cannabis, and designer sachets labeled as cookies and snacks.
In a separate operation, a 38-year-old drug kingpin, Philip Ucheka, was arrested with 55.6kg of Canadian Loud and three delivery vehicles were impounded.
The NDLEA also intercepted 100g of Loud concealed in a teddy bear and seized 548 tramadol capsules hidden in Vitamin C and Magnesium bottles bound for the UK.
