The Nigerian Senate has cleared three ambassadorial nominees, Kayode Are, Aminu Dalhatu, and Ayodele Oke, for confirmation.
The nominees were screened by the Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs, chaired by Senator Sani Bello, and are expected to be presented for confirmation soon.
Ayodele Oke, a former Director General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) and Nigeria’s ambassador to the Commonwealth Secretariat in London, addressed allegations raised against him, stating he had been cleared of all charges.
Oke, Are, and Dalhatu have strong credentials in public service, diplomacy, intelligence, and administration, making them suitable candidates for the ambassadorial roles.
