In the statement, the minister encouraged Nigerians to use the festive season to reflect on the virtues of love, peace, humility, and sacrifice that are associated with the birth of Jesus Christ.

He called on all citizens, regardless of their faith, to pray for the peace, security, and continued development of the nation.

Dr. Tunji-Ojo also urged everyone to remain law-abiding and security-conscious during the celebrations and wished all Nigerians a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
