Former Flying Eagles midfielder Daniel Daga has been suspended by Norwegian club Molde FK after being charged in connection with an alleged sexual assault, .
Molde confirmed the suspension in a statement issued on Friday, revealing that the matter was reported to the police in late April 2025. The 18-year-old has been charged with committing a sexual act without consent, an offence under Section 297 of the Norwegian Penal Code.
According to the club, legal proceedings are expected to begin in March 2026 at the Nordmøre and Romsdal District Court. Molde FK stated that both the player and the club have cooperated fully with Norwegian authorities since the investigation began.

The development was also corroborated by a source at Daga’s former Nigerian club.
Following the indictment, Molde said the midfielder has been suspended from all training sessions and matchday activities until further notice.
Daga last played for Molde on November 24, featuring in a 2–1 away victory over Strømsgodset. He has made 15 appearances for the club this season across all competitions, scoring two league goals.
The youngster joined Molde in January from FC ONE Rocket, signing a three-year contract. In October, he represented Nigeria at the FIFA U-20 World Cup, where the Flying Eagles were eliminated 4–0 by Argentina in the round of 16.
