Nigeria’s daily supply of petrol surged by 55% in November, reaching 71.5 million liters per day compared to 46 million in October.

According to the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA), this significant boost was largely driven by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) resuming imports to build up inventory ahead of the high-demand holiday season.

The increase also helped make up for low supply levels in September and October, and was bolstered by a dozen delayed vessel deliveries that spilled over into November.

While supply went up, national consumption also climbed by 44.5% to 52.1 million liters daily, though this still left a surplus.

Domestic refineries supplied about 17.1 million liters per day, as all state-owned refineries remained shut down during this period.
