The Nigerian Army has confirmed that a suicide bomber was responsible for a deadly explosion at a mosque in Maiduguri’s Gamboru Market on Tuesday evening.
According to the spokesman for Operation Hadin Kai, preliminary findings indicate that a suspected Boko Haram terrorist detonated an improvised explosive device, killing himself and two civilians at the scene.
An additional two victims later died at the hospital, bringing the civilian death toll to four, with a total of 32 people injured.
