Former Lagos State governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Abdulazeez Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, met with President Bola Tinubu at his Lagos residence over the Christmas holiday.
Jandor, now a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), used the opportunity to commend the president for what he described as courageous economic policies that have significantly improved financial access for local governments.
He informed the president that these reforms have enabled local governments in Lagos to deliver tangible projects, such as roads, health centers, and customary courts, within their first 100 days in office by utilizing funds released from the federation account.
Adediran, who came third in the last governorship race, has already announced his intention to contest again in 2027 and also predicted a decisive re-election victory for President Tinubu in the same year, citing the president’s growing political influence.
Jandor said the president’s perspective was invaluable, particularly his emphasis on the need for a continued alignment of vision between the federal government and the states for effective governance.
