Obianyi, who represents Ukwa East State Constituency, made the announcement during a visit to Otti at the Government House, accompanied by key political stakeholders.

He praised Otti’s leadership, saying the governor has laid a lasting foundation for the state’s development, with tangible infrastructure projects. Obianyi said he’s fulfilled an earlier intention to switch parties, made known to Otti in September 2023.

Governor Otti welcomed Obianyi and others to the Labour Party, promising a formal reception in Ukwa East.

He disclosed plans to deliver a state-of-the-art general hospital in the area by year-end, thanks to a land donation from an Ndoki son.
