The Lagos State Police Command has arrested officers allegedly involved in the assault and robbery of skit maker Ijoba Lande.

In a statement on X, the command’s spokesperson, SP Abimbola Adebisi, said the officers have been identified and brought in for questioning.
“The officers involved have been identified and brought forward to the Command for investigation. At the moment, both the officers, the actor, and his friend are giving their statements. Further developments will be communicated accordingly,” the statement read.

Earlier, the actor had shared a viral video accusing men of the Area ‘J’ Division of the Lagos State Police Command of assaulting him, confiscating his mobile phone, and stealing cash belonging to his brother.
The video showed Lande with visible injuries, including bleeding around his eyes, while bystanders poured water on him in an attempt to clean him. Footage also captured him inside what appeared to be a police facility, where he seemed to be attempting to lodge a complaint following the alleged assault. He claimed that the officers physically attacked him, seized his iPhone 16 Pro Max, and took $1,200 cash belonging to his brother.

The Lagos State Police Command has pledged to investigate the incident and provide updates as the case develops.
